Welcome to SPECS Spectrum CIC

Non- Profit Oragnisation Supporting Children and Families on the Spectrum.

About SPECS
SPECS Spectrum CIC is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation based in Waunarlwydd Swansea, dedicated to supporting children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and their families. Founded by parents with lived experience of autism and neurodiversity, we provide a safe, inclusive, and understanding environment where families can connect, learn, and grow together. Through our parent support groups, sensory sessions, workshops, and community events, we aim to empower families, promote awareness, and create opportunities that make a lasting difference in the lives of those on the spectrum.

Weekly Thursday Play Sessions

We run relaxed and inclusive play sessions every Thursday for children on the spectrum and with additional learning needs (ALN). These sessions provide a safe and supportive space to play, socialise, and have fun, helping children to build confidence, develop friendships, and enjoy positive experiences in a welcoming environment.

School Holiday Events

School holidays are all about fun at SPECS! We love bringing families together with our exciting holiday events — from sensory-friendly play and creative craft days to lively sensory discos and bouncy castle fun. Every session is designed to be inclusive, relaxed, and full of smiles, giving children and families the chance to play, connect, and make wonderful memories together.

Parents’ Coffee Mornings

Our regular coffee mornings give parents and carers a chance to connect, chat, and share experiences in a relaxed and supportive setting. It's a great opportunity to build community and access helpful advice and peer support.

Coming Very SOON!!!!!

We’re excited to announce two brand-new sessions coming soon to SPECS! Join us on Tuesdays for our Parents’ Craft and Brunch Morning — a relaxed space to get creative, chat, and enjoy some free food. Plus, don’t miss our fun Role Play Afternoon Sessions with free food for children, offering imaginative play in a friendly and supportive setting.

Sensory Room Coming in 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to a generous grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, our brand-new Sensory Room is coming in 2026! 🌈 We’re busy designing and creating a calming, engaging space for children and families to enjoy — a place to explore, relax, and feel right at home.
